I started painting at a very young age. Every time we’d visit my grandmother, “Grammie” we would paint together. It started out on tea towels and ended up painting on china with her. She taught me many tricks that could fool the eye to make things look more realistic. As I grew up, I couldn’t shake this creative outlet. It expanded into different mediums, subjects, and stylistic approaches. But it all started with Grammie coaching and showing interest in the same thing. Who knew that later in life I would make a career out of it.
I enjoy the escape of painting and using my hands in a different way. The feeling of a paintbrush touching the canvas can’t be replaced with a computer mouse.
